Question by Sharon: Do cedar chips really work to repel moths?
I have a wool coat that I want to keep in the closet over the summer (in a garment bag). Will adding cedar chips keep moths away? I don’t really want to use mothballs. Thx.

Question by urfussc: I purchased cedar wood chips from the pet section of a store. Are these wood chips good for repeling moths?
The package reads that these chips are good for pets’ enviroment, i.e. dog houses, gerbels’ homes, etc. I want to use these chips to put in my closet to keep moths out. Are these the same type of chips that are used for that purpose?

Cedar chips are, not other woods, that why people have cedar chests.
